Melody isn’t thrilled about moving away from everything and everyone she knows thanks to her mother’s demanding job, but maybe living in Hotsville USA isn’t such a bad thing. First there’s the drop dead gorgeous boy next door, Lucas, who also happens to have a chip on his shoulder a mile wide. Then there’s Jason, the helpful boy from town, who can make her laugh.
When both sexy studs take an interest in her, Melody is left trying to navigate Lucas’ ever shifting moods and Jason’s offbeat attitude towards all things questionable. But, things aren’t always as they seem. In the end, will she make the right decision? And will her choice effect more than just her heart?
Temptation Heart and Soul Book 1 eBook Jamie Canosa
I love the premise behind the book. With growing trend of religious themes in movies and books, I love themes that entertain higher authorities and the underlying belief that reinforces my childhood. When I was very young my grandmother used to always say be kind to storages because you never know if one of them could be an angel. Loved this body of work!Product details

Temptation Heart and Soul Book 1 eBook Jamie Canosa Reviews
I received an ecopy of this book from the author in exchange for a review...
Cover It's cute...
Mel
Well, Mel is a very ordinary girl for me... But at least she can avoid temptations... Though, Lucas helped her... Oh, and according to Lucas she's very rare... =)
Lucas
At first, I thought that he's very annoying because of what he did to Mel but as the story goes on, I saw a very different Lucas...
Jason
Let's just say I was tricked by him at the start of the story... I would never have guessed his real role in the story until he and Mel went to the club...
Story
The story was ordinary for me... It's your typical angel and demon, good versus evil story... The only different thing I saw in this story were the terms used... Though the ending made me want to read the next book... It's not really a cliffhanger but you know that that is not the end of the story yet...
Thank you!!!
I really, really liked this short story. In fact, it was such a good story, and the characters were developed so well, I believe the author could go from here and continue the story. I really do. It's a great idea, and written very well. This short story was in an anthology of many other short stories. And sometimes great work gets buried or passed by because of this. I am glad she decided to put it out on its own. As I think it deserves to get known, and read.
I loved some of the cute phrases the main character used. She was raised to not cuss, so she had some unique funny words she would use. You will see some if you read the excerpt, which is part of the first chapter, so won't be spoiling anything for you.
At the beginning it was hard to decide which guy was the right one for Mel, was it Jason and his easy going way? Or was it Luke, who's first impression wasn't very good. I will not tell you. I do not want to spoil it. I think Mel is a great person, and I really liked her a lot.
I hope you give this book a shot. It's a fun, sweet paranormal romance, that should satisfy other paranormal fans like myself.
5 out of 5 stars for me.
I received a copy of this book from the author for my honest review.
Usually, I am not one for novellas. I find them to be too short, too rushed, and too forced. I get sucked into the stories that I am read, with short stories..by the time I identify with the characters the story is wrapping up. This was not the case with "Temptation". Ms. Canosa managed to put more story in 94 pages than some authors are able to do in twice that amount.
When we first meet Melody, she is moving boxes from the moving truck into the home she and her mom just moved halfway across the country to live in. Her mother works a demanding job that keeps her away from home at all sort of crazy hours. School has just let out for the summer and Melody has no place she has to be..translation...no forced way of making friends. It's a shame that the beautiful boy, Lucas, who lives next door seems to need an attitude adjustment. So it's a good thing that she meets funny, helpful, and handsome Jason when she goes into town to grab a quick bite to eat. When both boys start to take an interest in Melody and both warn her against the other, the love triangle starts to heat up. Things aren't always what they seem and Melody is beginning to think that something may be slightly...off. While the premise of this story may not be completely original, Ms. Canosa makes up for it with her ability to "show" and not "tell" the story. Ms. Canosa's descriptions allow her readers to actually watch the story unfold without the over telling that can sometimes come with too many unneeded words. Melody, Jason, and Lucas are vibrant and colorful. They are fresh and easy to fall in love with (but maybe that's a bad thing..hmm?!) I really enjoyed every page of this story. I was sad when it was over! There is so much more that this new author can write about these characters and I want more!! This could be a series.
