I am not a fan of romances, so I resisted reading this book by the Aloha Romance Writers for a long time after it was published. Finally, I had to read it for a book club, and I'm so glad I did. This anthology is much more than just romance. Each story is unique. Some are historical, with scenes from Oahu's old railway. Queen Lilioukalani even appears in one. Some take place in modern times. Some are love stories, but not cheesy at all! Some are mysteries. There are a couple of good old ghost stories, too. Anyone who enjoys short stories, and anyone who loves Hawaii, will have a lot of fun with this delightful collection.
